Austin Metro, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is beautiful, has a healthy, diverse economy, and a friendly, hometown atmosphere. It is also bursting at the seams. Both commercial and residential construction have difficulty keeping up with the growth here.
According to the US census statistics, the Austin-Round Rock MSA has seen a population increase of a whopping 23.28%, to 2,115,827, from the 2010 census to the mid-2017 estimate. This equates to over 150 net increase per day. By comparison, take a look at these other, larger MSAs:
Metropolitan Statistical Area % Change2017 Estimate
New York-Jersey City MSA 3.85% 20,320,876
LA-Long Beach-Anaheim 4.09% 13,353,907
Chicago-Naperville-Elgin .765% 9,533,040
Dallas-Ft Worth-Arlington 15.15% 7,399,662
Houston-Woodlands-Sugarland 16.42% 6,892,427
This makes the Austin Area the 2nd greatest increase amongst metro areas in the US, exceeded only by the, much less populated, Orlando-Deltona-Daytona Beach FL with an increase of 33.98% and a total 2017 population estimate of 93,420.

"Thanks very much. I'll also say that it has been a pleasure doing business with you and Earl. You all took good initiative and were really helpful and proactive about solving problems when they came up. We really appreciate it."
